Yukino Miyazawa is 15 years old and a freshman in high school. She is extremely popular because of her great looks and excellent grades. But, in reality, because she wants to be glorified by those around her, Yukino's single-mindedness to try and create a perfect image has made her really stuck-up. Her only real worry is Souichirô Arima, a boy in her class. Well brought up, great looking, and with top grades in his class. Yukino feels a strange sense of rivalry burning in her heart since he took away her position as the most popular student. But she is about to pass him by. But suddenly, there in front of her was Souichirô, who never cared about winning or losing, and his carefree smiling face. Yukino suddenly became aware of and ashamed of the fact that she was a hypocrite. All of a sudden, Arima confessed his feelings toward Yukino. But she brushes him off. However, abruptly events occur which reveal who she really is.
From that day they became girlfriend and boyfriend.
