Right after they defeated the Toguro Team at the Ankoku Bujutsukai, another challenge awaited Yusuke and the gang ! Someone who had inherited Sakyo's malicious ambition to attempt to entrap humankind to a panic came out. He tricked Shinobu Sensui, a former detective of the psychic world, and was about to widen the border tunnel so that the S-level psychic beings--who are far more powerful than the Toguro Team-- could enter freely into the human world.
